Doh file and print sharing options have disappeared in XP

Disable simple file and print sharing and you have zero options to share a folder.

Any ideas????

I fixed this once many years ago but of course now I can't remember.

If you disable simple sharing, you can set normal NT style permissions on NTFS folders via properties.

Otherwise simple file and printsharing are under tools ->folder options.

check also wether you have MS networks client enabled for the NIC/connection and that it's not blocked by firewall.
