  • What they are doing at Matrox???

Where is the old great Matrox?
I know the battle for 3D speed requires too much resources...
But, why they don't upgrade existing products?
Why they don't excogitate new 2D useful things and add some 3D speed to avoid Matrox fans escape?
    They have fired all engineers?

A wise choice would be to support the dual link DVI screens like the APPLE 30" cinema display plus tv out.

Sorry for my poor english, I'm from Italy...
What's the problem with the "excogitate" word?
            It sound like a swearword?

So, they want to do the same products in all tastes until the end of the world.
We must expect DirectX 9/10 software support with Windows Longhorn?

I've heard rumours of a "render subject nude" feature.

Only when you use the headcasting software. And you have to take their word for it that the geometry for the person's body is nude because you only get to see the face.

This would indeed be a wise move.

Well, one thing in my experience. Generally people who are don't speak english as their primary language, actually speak better (as in more proper) english than people who have spoken the language all their lives. And in many cases have a better vocabulary! I usually pride myself on knowing some pretty obscure words, but I'd never heard of excogitate. Now I have a new word to befuddle people with

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Yes, but the problem with using difficult words is that they think you are making them up...

                              Note to self: befuddle

                              Back on topic:
Matrox already has the technology to support the multi DVI displays: it is one of the few - if not the only manufacturer that can drive the highresolution IBM and Viewsonic displays with one card (4 DVI).
Now for them to bring this technology to a more affordable level, and combining with tv-out (which they still are great at)...
