  • Turning off interface element in win2k

How to do it? I am able to do it in XP but I can't seem to be able to find an option for this in 2000...

    In explorer:
    Tools>Folder Options>General
In the Tasks setting, select 'Use Windows Classic Folders'

I think thats what you're trying to do?

EDIT: Blah just saw that you said you're tying to do it in 2K. Sorry, don't know if its the same way there, as I don't have a 2K system here at home to check.

Microsoft like's changing interfaces for no good reason. It happens with every iteration.

That option has been right there since Windows 98.

Yeah, it's nice that it gets disabled along with the rest of the crap in XP
