  • finished workunits...

    Hello,

On my one PC, a workunit has finished. In the results view, I can see the following:
    Code:
    374823	322417	5 Nov 2004 14:29:20 UTC	29 Nov 2004 22:26:08 UTC	Over	Success	Done	1976569.38	6805.26
Can I delete the folder containing this workunit, in
    Boinc\projects\climateprediction ?

(it takes up over 300 MB)

Yes I think so. Try renaming it first.

Actually, first try stopping and restarting BOINC. It only seems to free space up again when you stop/start... (I mean exit the client entirely, not just suspending crunching!)

Stopping/starting didn't seem to have done anything...
      I'll try renaming later on.

BOINC will automatically delete old files then not needed any longer, but CPDN isn't following the rules so many of the files is actually unknown for the core-client and is therefore never deleted.

After a CPDN-wu is successfully uploaded & reported, you can safely delete this wu-directory from disk, and since the client doesn't really know of these files you don't even need to stop the client.
