  • G400 with a TFT

Some days ago I bought a new TFT Display for my computer. I'm using a Matrox G400 DH 32MB in this machine for some years now. Unfortunately with the new display I got a black screen most time of the boot process. I see the bios messages for a few seconds, then only black until windows is completly started. After adding a second graphic card (pci) and connecting the monitor I can see the complete boot process.
The bad thing is that I cannot see my lilo boot menue and neither my raid configuration menue.

Is there a possibillity to change the frequency of the g400 in the bios of the card?

    Thanks

Sounds like you need to go to the Matrox site and download a new BIOS for your G400. I think there were VESA mode fixes in later BIOSes.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Worked perfectly. The dos standart output was set to tv-pal europe. After setting it to Dos Standart I can see all things now.

      Thanks a lot
