Ok, I think I need a new heatsing/fan. Need something that will fit an ASRock K7S8XE+. Not even sure if my processor is still good at this point. PC kept rebooting. I went to the BIOS and checked....system temp 68 degrees celsius. CPU fan speed: N/A. Looked at the fan connected to the heatsink, and it's not spinning. Turned off the PC. What do you think? CPU dead?? Still POSTS. :) And still tried to boot. ;) Anyways, I was thinking of just getting the same fan/heatsink that's not working: Vantec AeroFlow VA4-C7040.
Only complaint I have about it, it's a PAIN to install.

Possible that when you cool it, it will work fine.

From what you say, it's probable your CPU will be fine if properly cooled. So getting a new fan should do it. Anyway even if your CPU is fried you're gonna need to cool the new one :D

I would suggest a Thermalright SI-97 with the fan of your choice (92mm). A Noiseblocker SE-2 would be a quiet and efficient solution.
