  • Help with translation of Chinese kids song

Can anyone tell me what this song is about?
This is transliterated from a 4 year old with a Mandarin/Cantonese/Oklahoma accent, so don't laugh please.

    Hong Kong
    Hong Kong
Chew dour batch ay ee (!?)
    Ho Doh.... (uninteligable)
It seems to be some kind of song ChooChoo sang at her orphange.
Something to do with food in Hong Kong?
    Thanks,
    Chuck

    PS Isn't she cute?

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

I just hoped someone might recognize it.

Definitely a cute one you have on your hands. Best get the shotgun ready for when she gets older

Don't think any of these are correct, but heres a few cool links.

The songs you hear in childhood remain with you all your life. For all adopted Chinese children, this selection may be their most important connection to their Chinese past and future.

                          Oklahoma's Second University?

And we have already had the experience of seeing a 4 year old boy from 3 houses down run along behind her yelling "I Love You Choochoo" at the top of his lungs.

So it's gonna be a rough one for the boys

I've already had the suggestion from another Shenzhen parent that it could just be a TV ad that she saw beemed over from HK.
But, worth a shot to ask.

In all honesty I still largely root for my homestate team and uni of choice, Florida State, but I've been transplanted and since I live in Poketown...

My son is five so I've been enjoying his little romances for a little bit now
