IE 6 SP1 problems from security patch

Just thought you guys should know that when I applied this security patch (Q823353) ;

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms04-018.mspx

it caused my OE 6 SP1 installation (Win2K SP4) to not open with the all too common "MSOE.DLL could not be loaded" issue.

Fortunately uninstalling the patch from the control panel brought things back, but it had me going for a bit

MS security patches causing problems, yes. We once had a security patch here at work that broke the windows logon procedure on 1 PC, quiet annoying uninstalling the security patch fixed the problem.

Haven't seen that one before, though it does not surprise me at all. IE is a finicky browser.

Lots of stuff that works in IE 5.5 doesn't work in IE 6, especially in the big intranet programs.
