It's an extremely fast card. You simply cannot complain about it. The drivers are damn good but not without problems.

Don't even bother checking to see if a game will run with all of the eye candy turned on, just turn on everything and be happy
Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

Damn. I'd have to sell my pancreas to be able to buy one of those.

Well I suppose the good thing about the delay is that the price has gone up by £50.00 since I ordered it.

              Why sell so cheap?

Besides, I'd give you less than a week without them

I'd be happy with just a 9500 Pro or 9700.... guess my "old fashioned" 8500 will have to do though.

I think the 8500 is probably one of the video cards to hold its value the best. I hope my 9800Pro holds up over time.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

It will, but no card has ever been in the same class as the 9700Pro. Not even the almighty Voodoo2.

Don't worry, Pit. With your luck, it'll foobar your whole system in no time flat! If I had your luck, I think I'd stick to DOS.

In that system, sadly, you'll probably be CPU limited. I am with my 6800 GT. Though you have the 800Mhz FSB P4, and mine is the 533mhz one. The question though is do you really need to overclock? I overclocked my 3ghz cpu to 3.38 and didn't get much of an increase... Then again, the heat didn't go up very high either... I know I could go higher, but I need better ram... meh.

Someone's been reading too much William Gibson.

Funny thing about the XT PE card, it's still not available through regular distribution channels. ATI has it available for direct order on their web site but I can't buy it from any of the four major distributors I use that carry ATI. I remember reading a statement by ATI (on rage3D it think) to the effect that there was no shortage, but methinks that was more to placate the stock holders than anything else.

A few months ago I built a new home PC and planned to buy an XT PE card for it. I'm still waiting. Right now I'm running it with a P650. I've got a shelf full of games I bought that I'm waiting to play.

I guess you could say that I'm jealous! Have fun dude.
                        P.S. You've been Spanked!

Don't know about Canada but we had two Gecube made ones in the shop last week

What's Gecube? An ATI OEM board maker? There's lots of those available. There's even ATI X800 Pro boards. Just no ATI X800 XT PE boards.
