Yeah ... it just looks like a "Big" game if you know what I mean ...
Lots of different aspects ... races ... storyline ... and open/free roaming like the GTA games.
I doubt that it will work in Surround ... but ... Enlight brought us X-2 ... it worked pretty good in Surround so may be there is hope ...

I know what you mean "cartoony" ... and the screenshots aren't too clear are they... but like you say quite a good web site.

The info about the game reads really good ... ... I hope it turns out that way !

Screenshots here are a little better ... http://www.3dgamers.com/screenshots/games/scrapland/

What an awsome game this is going to be ... GTA in Roboland with a bit of the Fifth Element ... flying through the cityscape ! ...

From the menu you can select Surround resolutions but I'm afraid that the FOV and or the aspect ratio is wrong when in one of the Surround resolutions.
It runs pretty smooth at 3840x1024 (FAA-16x doesn't work with the game)... you will need to turn OFF shadows to get it to run smooth at this rez.
So it looks like I will have to ask our friend Racer_S at ToCAEDIT.com to do us a FOV hack for proper Surround ... once the actual game comes out (Feb-2005).

There are some FOV changes in the Scrap.cfg file that can be used to make it slightly more playable when in vehicle ...
Change the LoRacerFov to about 125 and the HiRacerFov to about 150
This doesn't change the aspect ratio ... so like I say it only makes it slightly better.
May be one of you guys can figure out how to change the aspect ratio.

Until then give it a try on one monitor ... it is really great ... !!!
There is not a lot of point in showing screen shots at the moment as the FOV-aspect ratio is wrong ... and they don't do the game justice you need to see it in action for yourself ...
