Trying to download from Ulead

I am in the process of downloading a demo version of CD DVD Pictureshow 3 from Ulead. So far it has taken me 14 hours to download 163784 kb out of 181631 kb.

Are ther problems with the Ulead site or is it somting on my side ?
No problem downloading from other sites.

The issue is on their end.

Funny I registered to check whether the issue was on your end or with them and was asked to answer a survey before DLing... How do you rate the Download speed with 5 choices... I picked the worst (terrible)

and in the comment box wrote...

This is a stupid beyond reason question to ask someone who has never downloaded anything from you before! Actually the reason for me DLing is because another said their DL rate was crap so I am checking (They're in Malta, I'm in the US)

Crap is the word (with a capital "C"). You put my mind at rest knowing it is'nt from my end.

18 hours to download 181,631 Kb is far too much. Ulead should be ashamed !!

Ulead has 3 download servers for anonymous FTP;

ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub

ftp://ftp2.ulead.com/pub

ftp://ftp3.ulead.com/pub

Just browse into the appropriate folder.

Each one gets different amounts of traffic so you may be better off with one over another. "FTP" gets the most traffic and so can bog down badly. I usually get much better results logging into "FTP3" (2-3x faster than the other two).

Hi,
I tried to download the file: dps3_trial_eng.exe, 181632 KB.
Didn't finish the download because I am not interested, yet
I started it from: ftp://ftp.ulead.com/pub/trial/pictureshow/3 and used WS_FTP, not the browser.
The speed was 16 to 18 KB/s and after 5 min. of download indicated Time Left about 3 hours.
I am connected with ADSL 0,5.

At ftp://ftp3.ulead.com/pub couldn't find dps3...exe

From ftp://ftp2.ulead.com/pub tried to download with IE. The speed was about 23 KBps. Not bad
