Compaq Matrox Millennium G200 (G2+ MILA/8D/CPQ) Windows XP Driver

Hi,

I have just acquired a second-hand Compaq Matrox Millennium G200 (G2+ MILA/8D/CPQ) card.

I tried installing the latest drivers from the Matrox website (5.92.006) but the setup routine claimed the card was not supported by that driver. I was (unsurprisingly) unable to find an appropriate driver from the Compaq website (they had drivers up to Win2k).

I searched around the web and was about to give up hope when I thought I would try a slightly older Matrox driver. I found a website with 5.91.008 driver. I tried to install it, and it installed perfectly. So I am happy that it worked.

I hope this post helps some people out, who were having problems with their OEM Matrox cards (like my G200 from Compaq).
