Can a VCD file trigger hardware out on RRG\DVD module

I have a G200/RRG/DVD module config (finally working with driver 5.55, VT 1.54 and MGI SoftDVD 3.63) and wonder if anyone has managed to get it trigger the hardware out for a Panasonic VCD MPEG made from a Matrox MJPEG avi file. Unfortunately the video out of my Mystique G200 has the green tinge problem, so using the hardware video out of the module is necessary to output back to tape for good quality. It works great for the MJPEG's but I want to archive my projects on CD in VCD format and later make VHS tape copies.
Any ideas please?
