There are pine trees between the houses, which would make it more northern than egypt

I'm thinking somewhere in the north east part of north america, because there isn't any old architecture visible. My first thought was somewhere like Buffalo or Rocherster, NY, but I'm fairly sure they're not right. Am I anywhere near?

The architecture shown is WAY out of style with American architecture for the last 30 years. Most of the buildings in the US with the style of architecture seen in most of these buildings would have been torn down and replaced 20 years ago.
If there was just 1 or 2 buildings with these designs, I might believe this was a current American skyline.
But with the numerous dated architectural styles seen here, I'd be very surprised if this was anywhere in the US.....

                              Could you specify continent?

Otherwise, the tall building on the left has 25 visible and proabably about 30 storeys, which IMO points against north american high rise cities.

There appears to be a gothic church in the middle, but there were plenty of historic 19th century gothic churches built in Europe and elsewhere.

What appears to be watter is in the north to north east of the city based on shades.
