  • Doom 3 in Surround

Start the game ones so it creates the DoomConfig.cfg. Edit these lines and play. The FOV seems to be ok with out changing anything unless some one sees other wise.

    seta r_mode "-1"
    seta r_customwidth "2400"
    seta r_customheight "600"

    Here is some screenshots

PS. The game does run a little slow.

    I would imagine.

Pretty cool anyway, you'd think it would be perfect for a game like this.

Still wondering how it would work on a P8x.

            Maybe it's like in Quake 3 with 'cg_drawfps 1' ? I don't know.

I read somewhere the console was ctrl+alt+tilde.

I just noticed that the game won't let me add lines to the cfg file (only change existing ones). It removes the new lines when you start the game.
seta cg_fov and sets cg_drawfps 1 isnt present. I tryed adding it and it gets removed also.

ctrl+alt+tilde does work to bring down the console. Thanks bsdgeek. Unfortunetly the game doesnt recognize non of the commands (FOV and Draw_fps).

                    Thanks Paddy,

The frames jump anywhere between 15-60 fps depending on how many carecters are on the screen. In average its about 30 fps.

                      Cool !

Have you tried that HUD fix in PowerDesk yet ?

                      How about ... cg_fov 138 ... at the console ?

The cg_fov 138 is unknown command and the power desk feature i'm not sure how. Never used Power Desk for anything yet

Just tick the box next to Use HUD mode (OpenGL only)

start the game and see if the HUD is on the center screen ...

The hud Fix works but it creates other problems. The side screens go into some kind of darkness. Here is a screenshot so you can see what happends.

What about if you tick the box next to "Use OpenGL overlay (OpenGL only)" ... not sure what this is for but may be it will help ...
