  • Software for 'Monty Python' style animation?

    Hello,

I have a bit of an odd question to ask. My current video project involves some humor. It would be great if I could add animation in a "Monty Python" fashion. For those that have never seen the show, most of the animations are made from newspaper clipings (ex: a picture of a president with the jaw area snipped and moved in a silly talking fashion).

Does anyone know of a product that would allow me to take a scanned in picture and animate it in a similar fashion? I also wanted to be able to add picture clips to current video (make picture clip look like it is part of original video). I looked at Media Studio, but could not figure out if it can be done.

    Thanks

They did it by cutting out paper images and making montages. The filming was done with stop frame animation by shooting 10-15 frames of each montage setup. Simple works.

      Thank you

I found software that does the cut-out animation, but was hoping to be able to do it in MediaStudio. If interested, here is the link:

I was also hoping that I could add a cut-out to current video (ex: cut-out of a face flying by on real footage of a car). Adobe After Effects Production has this ability, but I just can not spend that money ;-{>

I keep wonder if I can do this with MediaStudio...

You could do in in filmstrip mode in Photoshop, but that's a lot of work ;-))

To use filmstrip you export the *.avi in question from Premiere using the filmstrip option. This can then be imported into Phososhop for frame-by-frame edits.
