The writer lists these advantages;

1. Play out to the external monitor over firewire from the timeline. Alt-scrub preview ANYTHING to external monitor over firewire from timeline.

2. Trim mode a split screen out to the external monitor from the timeline.

3. High speed playback over firewire to external monitor or deck.

4. Mix with the automated Audio Mixer.
