  • Capture problem with Marvel G400

    Hello,
this is one example picture from my last capture:

    What's happend?
    Please help!
    Mike

PS: I'm using the VideoTools 1.54 and W98 SE. Because of the 'snowing frames problem' and 'switch to B&W problem' I have installed the Morgan MJPEG codec. Instead of 'snow' or black&white sequences in the captured movie I got those colored squares on the same place only.

You're capturing with Morgan? That requires you to have YUY2 enabled or to use RGB.

There is one problem with YUY2: the YUY2 support in 1.54 is totally broken. Use 1.52 instead.

RGB is not that great an idea as it requires a huge CPU load and very fast RAID array.

No, no, no! I capture with MatroxJPEG 704x576 (PAL) with maximum quality. There are not performance problems. It happens only sometimes (randomly) and at different times after the capture starts. Huh! Sorry for my english. :-) I have changed the windows settings so the Morgan codec replace the Matrox one, but only by playback (decode).
