Yeah, I know the whole story, but seeing that VJ was disappointed that nobody missed his forum, here's a topic to whine about missing DI forum...

To be honest, I really have a question about Microdrives in cameras, but let's wait for the forum to come back online...

There recently was a thread regarding Compact Flash in General Hardware, and the microdrive was brought up, perhaps it contains some answers ?
