  • Using the FW port(s) of a RT2500 as a network adapter (?!?)

This may be one big, dumb question, but please bear with me:

Is it possible to connect both my computers in a "home network" using the FireWire port of the RT2500 card in one of them (the other has FW embbeded) as a common network adapter (after all it's how it is recognized by the OS)?

    If so how?

    If not... Well that's it!

    Thxs.

Windows XP has firewire network drivers on-board, Windows 2000 and 98 don't. But AFAIK Sony supplied Firewire network drivers for Win2000 with their VAIO notebook range.
Resistance is futile - Microborg will assimilate you.
