    Some suprising results! Although in a way I don't care so much anymore since the next CD I rip will be to FLAC.

      My stance:

      Ape for computers - lossless, can't beat that, free.

      For portables, ... MP3 - it's worse than Ogg, but it has higher portability and if you want better, see above.

        That's why I have my eyes set on the iRiver SlimX, so I can play all my OGG files.

        FLAC is also open source and lossless.
