  • bookmark and program toolbar wanted ..

    Hi there,

    i search for a good program to manage bookmarks and programs. Right now i use the toolbar of PowerDesk 5. Unfortunately it crashes from time to time and it needs (have no clue why) relatively long to open when first clicked.

    I only need basic features like categories, sub-categories. All the fancy stuff like skins or multiple icons are not necessary.

    Here are some screenshots of the Powerdesk5 Toolbar.

    Any ideas/suggestions?

    Why don't you just use the windows taskbar? If you put a shortcut to a folder into the quicklaunch bar, it'll open like on your screenshots above. If your bookmarks are separate files for each bookmark (like .url files), just put a shortcut to your bookmarks folder in your quicklaunch bar.

      You will not even be restricted to only using icons, if you mark "Text anzeigen" (rightclick on free space on the quicklaunch bar - it's kinda hard to find a free spot though - it only works when "Taskleiste fixieren" is unchecked)

        The links toolbar works awesome. Been using it for years. Here is what it looks like at work for me. My setup at home is different.

          Try <a href="http://www.kana.homeip.net/index.php?doc=launcher&page=features">Kana Launcher</a>.

          <img src="http://www.kana.homeip.net/images/launcher/kanalauncher.png">

          Takes 1.5MB RAM, very little CPU, and has never crashed in 2+ years of using it.
