I have a question about step 20. If your input is DV avi, is it at this point that it will be encoded to MPEG?
Is this the same version of the Main Concept encoder as in MSP7? If not, which is "better"?

PS How much is the cheapest option to upgrade to the most basic version of DVD WS 2 from the previous bundled version?
Forgot to say thanks, nice job!Last edited by wkulecz; 31 March 2004, 15:59.

Thanks, Wally.
You're correct.
If you input DV .avi, it will be converted to MPEG with properties determined by the specific encode TEMPLATE that you choose.
In the tutorial, I used the Panasonic VDR-M30 MPEG-2 properties as the guide for my encoding parameters - purely for the sake of example.
Ulead DVD WORKSHOP 2.0 and Ulead MEDIASTUDIO PRO 7.0 utilize the same Ulead MPEG.Now codec - which was developed by Ulead using the MainConcept SDK.
It seems you can buy the UPGRADE version of Ulead DVD WORKSHOP 2.0 for as low as $179.57:
