A great man, not only as an actor, but also as a raconteur, a playwright, an author, a polyglot and, above all, a humanitarian with a love for children in need.

This was a man, a man that the world is poorer without.

This man could make me laugh like no other. Everything he said, he made entertaining. Watch Spartacus sometime and listen and watch carefully when Laurence Olivier and his party visit Ustinov's little gladiator school. It looks like Ustinov ad-libbed those lines, and he had me choking with laughter. The other actors were trying hard to hide their mirth, as well.

The world will miss him, and miss him greatly. It is one thing to be able to be a buffoon and make 3 year olds laugh when you fall on your ass, but to be as urbane as Peter was, and make the thinking man laugh, is a rare and precious talent.

We agree 100% here, Brian.. the apocalypse must be near.
