  • Mozilla Window shifts by height of title bar under WinXP DH

Here's the procedure how the problem occurs:
    - Install WindowsXP
    - by default Luna (XP Style) deskop is enabled
    - install Mozila

Mozilla Window maximizes, restores and maximizes again properly

    - switch to Classic style (2k Style) desktop

When you start Mozilla, it's properly maximized. As soon as you restore and maximize again, Mozilla Window gets shifted so that menu bar is where title bar should be and bottom of maximized window is above taskbar by height of title bar with desktop showing between them.

This problem does not occur under Windows2000. At first I thought it might have something to do with Matrox Drivers Save and Restore window postiion, however enabling and disabling that doesn't affect Mozilla behavior as far as maximizing is concerned.

Also switching between classic and modern theme in Mozilla didn't change anything.

    - If you unlock taskbar, stretch it so that it's twice as high and stretch it back and lock it, Mozilla Window gets properly aligned. If you CTRL+close it and relaunch Mozilla it starts properly maximized. However as soon as you restore and maximize, it again becomes shifted.

The above problem does not occur under Windows 2000.

The problem also doesn't occur in singlehead.

So this is clearly WindowsXP-Mozilla-Dualhead related.

    This is annoying.

    Specs:
    Tyan TigerMPX S2466N-4M
    Dual Bartons@2.26
    512MB PC2100 ECC registered

Matrox Parhelia, 1.4 BIOS, 1.6.0.99 drivers (both lattest as of today, different drivers don't change this behavior)
Hercules Digifire 7.1 (Crystal Audio chip)

WindowsXP professional (clean install) SP1, all updates and fixes.
    Mozilla 1.6

    Dualhead independant: 2x1024x768 @ 32bit

    Questions:
    Did anyone get something similar?

Especially people with dualhead setups with non-Matrox or Matrox G-series cards.

    I'm also posting a screenshot:
