  • Praise the German's!

Apparently, "in a survey of unprecedented size, 25,000 readers of Germany's leading IT title (PC Magazin) voted ATI as their number 1 choice for graphics".

The results, we're told, are as follows:

    ATI: 40.3%
    Matrox: 9.2%
    Nvidia: 8.9%

I swear I will never say anything negative about Germany again!

What is awesome is that, it seems, that Nvidia couldn't even oust Matrox (remember them?) who have all but given up in the noisy gaming market

They prolly misspelt 48.9% in 8.9% for nVidia... Where the hell would the other 41.6% (ouch, head hurts) be otherwise?

Well, it's very nice to see Matrox over nVidia, but PC Magazin is not the leading IT title in germany ...

Nope. That'd be either Computer-Bild (sells the most copies) or c't (teh best).

Well, least I got a few hours of joy in thinking that Matrox is the #2 card of choice somewhere. I guess I gotta face reality sometime.

the poll is "choice of graphics", not "market share for each company".

I also seen this news on Guru3d...

Something is very wrong with this picture.

Intel CANNOT be the favourite graphics choice, with their ahem... "Extreme Graphics 2"

3Dlabs, I don't know... but if they really got a huge/significant fan base in Germany, I'd expect PC magazine Germany to list 3dLabs out.. so it cannot be them either...

Let's not talk about BitBoys I never knew BitBoys have released anything since their opening ~10 years ago...

I'd think NV has a bigger fan base. It does have a huge fan base over in N. America anyways, i'd bet even bigger than ATI.

Seriously, PC magazine gotta explain this poll... it makes no sense. (Tho I do wish Matrox to come out from darkness)
