  • What's the cheapest way to...?

    Hi guys,

What's the cheapest way to capture NTSC video in the UK?

Buy a VCR that outputs true NTSC 3.58?
Get a capture card that accepts NTSC 4.43/PAL-60? (RTX etc)
Get a signal convertor? (NTSC 3.58 to PAL, NTSC 4.43/PAL60?)

    Or any other methods?

    Note:
    I don't have a VCR that does true NTSC 3.58 (else I wouldn't be asking ).
I don't have my G200 Marvel handy either (else I'd use that ).
I do have a Leadtek capture card for NTSC 3.58, and a Radeon AIW 9800. But obviously they don't like 4.43 NTSC/PAL-60. Either doesn't give the full frame, or ditches the colour.
I'd like to get the RTX100 since I'd like to dabble in more complex video stuff, but I need to be sure it'll take the 4.43 (don't need another kit that doesn't do what I need it to do *cough*ATI*cough*Leadtek*cough*)

Ok after more digging around, I've found that the RTX series doesn't like the 4.43. Which means getting the RTX is out of the question.

So which one of the other two would you guys recommend in terms of price?
