  • Recommend an ADSL wifi solution?

I'll be setting a friend (who is unashamedly IT illiterate) on BT's ADSL soon. He needs all the kit, including modem, router, WAP and wifi adaptors for 2 PCs.

Recommendations welcomed Presumably an all-in-one solution like the NetGear DG834M the best option?

    TIA

We were using the WRT54G from linksys for a while. I was really good and easy to deal with. Just one bit of warning, if they, or anyone near them, are using any other 2.4ghz products there could be huge problems. We were using it at work with 2.4ghz phones and a camera (to watch the gate). The phones walk all over the other stuff. There are phones that are guaranteed not to cause problems but I have not tried them. Just a warning.

I love wireless for once in a while use I hate it on a daily basis.

We have a Linksys WRT54G and like it a lot too.
But you'd still need a modem.

Of course, I should have typed DG834G. The cost of that and 2 PCI wireless cards is a bit steep at £225 though.
