I like mine rare...

(In german, "blutig" or "englisch". A little joke: a german goes into an english-speaking steakhouse and asks "Can I have a bloody steak?", upon which the waiter answers "But of course, sir. Do you want a ****ing whisky as well?" :D)

Medium, I don't like to eat uncooked meat, I don't like it burned either, and it HAS to be juicy otherwise it just isn't as tasty.

If it is a nice steak from a reputable place, then blue. If not, I go for rare.

I'm guessing that means asphyxiated and uncooked. :D

Medium well for me. I like mine to the point that there is no pink left but not to the point that it is tough and dried out.

Chase the steer past my table and I will hack a decent fillet off it as it goes past ............ :p

Blue = not cooked enough for the steak to be bloody.

It tastes very nice, but you need to have a very good piece of meat.

Rare side of medium rare if in a good restaurant.

If they are a little, shall we say "provincial", then I'll ask for it bloody and hopefully they won't blacken it too much :D

In France, I'll have it medium.

If you can't play hockey with it, it's not worth eating.

When I have steak, which is infrequent, I'll have it medium rare to medium. Given the choice though, I'll take chicken or fish instead. Sushi kicks steak's ASS! :D

On the rare side of medium rare and nicely seared on the outside

Blue, blue or blue, with a sauce aux morilles, or even raw, in a steak tartare. My wife likes it carbonised so it resembles black shoe sole leather: ugh! No chance of us ever being able to share a châteaubriand with Béarnaise sauce :(

I actually prefer the taste of rare, but since having that biology course... The one where everything crawls, encysts or pupates...
<shudder>.

Freezedried and sterilised. No taste, no smell, no little suprises.

:D

As often used here: "a point" (which translates to medium).
In an English-Dutch dictionary, the first translation for "blue" is "blauw" (color "blue" in Dutch), the second one is "rood" (color "red" in Dutch !) - with the remark "for meat". :)

Generally medium.

But a good plate of Carpaccio is even beter. (Guido's in LA springs to mind)
