The split, which we've confirmed with Nvidia today, affects not only graphics cards but also mainboards too.

Can't say that I've ever owned a mobo from Abit and the bad caps scare also contributed to keeping my distance, though it's sad to see it end like that, they were supposed to be making some of the best nforce mobos out there.
On the other hand, maybe they'll look toward SIS chipsets more seriously now.

Judging by this French article Nvidia changed their minds and will continue to work with Abit on nForce chipsets.
