  • Hover Ace in Surround

Hover Ace ... its on the Matrox web page for games with upcoming support ...
Out of the box it doesn't work in Surround ... but ... if you ...
    Run - regedit -
    Under HKEY_CLASSES_USER - Software - GSCGameWorld - tntEngine - KernelApp

Change these two lines from there default settings as follows...

    CreationHeight - change data to .... 768
    CreationWidth - change data to .... 3072

It then works great in Surround ... If you like racing and combat ... you will probably enjoy it.

Here's a link to there web site ...
GSC Game World - Developer of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Cossacks

There is also info about Firestarter that piaxVirus mentioned in another thread.

    Cheers,
    Paddywak

          Hi Paddy,

I've looked around but could only find a demo video stream and no exe, then i looked at 3dgamers but the only demo they have is from 2001 ?!??!

Is this correct or could you give me a link to the demo.

          Thanks,
          Wingie

            Hi Wingie,
I'm afraid don't know of a demo for the game .... I bought the game from Amazon.com based on what I saw in the video you mention... and the fact that it was on the Matrox web page for games with upcoming support. (Amazon.co.uk didn't stock it)
I see someone has a copy of it for sale at Amazon for only .... $8.49 ... I paid $19.88 !
It is also one of those games where you don't need the CD in to play the game.... sorry I can't be of any more help than that.

            Cheers....
            Paddywak.

PS. Where is Amersfoort ... Holland ?

If you look at my profile you will see I am an Artist... one of the best artists ever was Rien Poortvliet ... I am hoping to visit Holland this year ... I will be painting at the Dutch Game Fair in June and I would also like to visit the Poortvliet museum.

I didn't get any problems like that with Hover Ace full version installed to ... D:\Big City Games\Hover Ace

However I recently had a simmilar problem with another game where there was "World loading failure"... to correct that one I went to properties ... right click the shortcut ... under the compatability tab run in compatability mode for Win 98

May be it will help here.
                          Cheers,
