    If every thing goes really well the first image could come as soon as 2 hours. But that's assuming the airbags deflate at the right speed and don't get snagged on any rocks and take extra long.

    LOL I was gonna post this in the Beagle posting that our probe worked

      It can now go across the planet and find the remains of beagle2.

        Why did they name it "Beagle?" After the Darwin ship HMS Beagle? If so, why did they name the ship after a breed of dog? Maybe they should name the next Mars lander after a breed of cat, since they seem to land on their feet after falling from high places.

            And its twin lander, Opportunity, lands in a few weeks on the other side of Mars. Sounds like an interesting winter as regards imaging, geology etc.
