  • Bruce Almighty DVD

Ok I borrowed this off my parents last night and noticed something very strange about it. Everytime there was a black screen say inbetween coming attractions or booting to the movie, I would loose picture for a split second (my TV's OSD would read receiver in the upper left hand coner as if it wasn't getting any input) then go back to normal. The DVD player is only about 6 months old. I watched the movie and noticed that it had Macrovision copy protection on it...is that whats causing the problem?
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

No.. it's most likely a glitch in the coding. You know those AVIs you can't play because there is no available codec? Same problem. Why they need to fvck with things that work, God only knows. Same thing happened with a recent Eric Clapton DVD.. we asked Yamaha and they said they were going to update their firmware or something so their DVD players could play it without glitching. What a menace. STANDARDIZE, you stupid idiots!
