CNET's bandwidth meter seems to underestimate. Try http://maine.rr.com/03/speedtest/speedtest.asp.

CNET said mine was 1300 as well.

              You sure it under-estimates?

I'm getting around 1.6-1.7 mbps, depending. Comcast is SUPPOSED to be rolling out the increased bandwidth here by year's end, though. So we should be seeing 3mbps pretty soon (I hope!).

                      I would still get screwed

                          Umm. Holy speed batman!

The link was not CNET's but another I found. Guess it's screwy too.

                            1.3Mbps
Rogers Cable, Toronto ( no alternatives here other than satellite.. which just is not a good option)
Rogers used to offer 3Mbit, then dropped their service to 1.5Mbit, without dropping the price for new subscribers
