  • yet another reason we don't need activation

These companies need to find another solution... what a waste of time and money.

Don't buy software that requires activation and it'll soon go away!

Find excuses to make exceptions for things like XP or upgrading whatever and it'll soon be everywhere!

We've been down this road before with "copy protected" floppies. They disappeared rather quickly as products distributed on them just didn't sell.

Yes, and there are already cracks for registration of Symantec which work better than the original (Don't need to register every time you restart the box).

even better is the fact that a Virus only have to eat ONE file on a computer with nav 2004 and it selfdestructs
If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

          Could you explain, please?
What does selfdestruct and which file "eats" on the computer?
I'm affraid I am missing something...

besieds.... activation has not stoped piracy at all.... even when SP1 for WinXp came out and had blocked several activation codes a crack was already being distributed to circumvent the problem.

IF one file of the NAV2004 install is destroyed/deleted/missing/captured by aliens/etc ect, NAV2004 will display a angry msg that you are not alowed to try and circumvent licencing and promptly disable itself and refuse to run

Requiring a deinstall and a reinstall to fix
