That is definately an interesting answer to the surround headphone issue. On the bright side, no complex audio algorithms for the PC to crunch. On the down side, those things look HUGE!

Sorry, 5.1 (where'd the .1 fit into the phones anyway?) headphones from a company that does COOLERS, and for THAT price just CAN'T be good.

They don't do coolers, they do stuff to make your computer quieter.

So you'd have to conclude that they've decided it's not worth the bother and you should just wear a pair of mufflers when using your PC instead. The headphone bit is just an add-on thrown in as an afterthought.

If you think these are large, look at the AKG K1000 or the Koss A250.

I would like to try them to see how they compare to my Senn HD580's...

I don't think it'd be any competition at all.. but if you decide you like the Zalmans better, I'll give you my address before you toss the Sennheisers in the bin

I read a review which said they very good. Sadly I can't remember where. Useless aren't I.

I read a few reviews on them, I believe there was one on Tom's Hardware. They all pretty much said the same thing though, something about the center speaker being a little to weak to watch movies with, but they rocked for game-play. I considered buying some, but just haven't had the money.

I got a chance to hear them for a short bit. I liked them, but no comparison sound wise to my Sennheiser HD570's. My friend (he actually is the one who owns it) says one issue he does have is weak bass (He's used to his Logitech Z-680's). They work great for gaming.

Weak bass thats a subjective thing as many people think Bass should switched on full and shaking all the houses in the neighbourhood.
