    Hi there,

I've downloaded the multiplayer demo version http://www.3dgamers.com/games/rccars/

It looks great but i'm not able to run it for more than 5 mins. and than it completly locksup. I'm really getting crazy about this. And things lead to my parhelia. (never had this with my old g400 / g200) windows keeps comming up with that the parhelia.dll is to blaim.

Anyone tried this game or can try this game (it looks it can be run in SG mode but than with flat cars ;-) ), i already tried to disable mipmapping and fogging but it didn't help.

My system has an audigy II with the latest drivers, the same goes for the parhelia. I tried to disable the music completely but didnt help either. I've tested my memory sticks with docmem and the test run without any problems. I've already changed the PW supply sometime ago (qtec 550W dual fan gold). I've updated the via drivers to 4.49vp2. My mamaboard is an MSI k7t266 pro2 ru.

My Parhelia card is not running into any heat problems because the above mentioned problem is there after 5 mins of starting my system.

All other games run almost flawlessy like ut2003 (it sometimes hangs up) / halo / quake etc)

PS: To stop halo from hanging i've set audio to medium (in stead off high) and disabled EAX.
PS1: If necessary I can do an dump with dxdiag.
Ps2: Will post this to on the matrox forums if I can remember my password ;-)

    Regards,
    Wingie

Well I've not tried it on a Parhelia - will do if someone sends me one

Glad you posted though, as had never heard of this game and now I love it - only tested on a Geforce 2 MX400 though. Runs a dream all settings to max with an Athlon 1400. When the full release comes out, it's going on my HTPC

I'm glad you like it, I think I like it to but still can't run it longer than 5 mins.

Already posted the same info at the matrox forums but as usual they don't help (tried a long time ago something when my parhelia was 'broken' due to their flashprogram (up217) had to find my own way (cost me 3 days) to find out how to flash it and then restore the pin files) because it's a demo version. (it's the full version but with only one level so coding wise for graphics / sound it will not change.

IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WITH A PARHELIA WHO CAN DO A LITTLE TEST??!?!?!?! So I will be able to know for sure if it's the drivers or my system some other card in my system (don't think so because a game of 50 is working without problems like halo / ut2003 / republic - the revolution / black hawk down etc).

I have no problems running on my system (See sig), except that I got nauseous after 10 min. I suspect it is probably something to do with your installation. I downloaded the full demo. I think it is quite pretty and seems reasonably realistic. I came last but enjoyed ramming cars and the crab My audigy2 is liveupdated to the latest drivers too. UT2k3 never hangs, in fact this is probably the stablest system I've ever run even while overclocked

Anyone know of a way to get this game to run in anything higher than 60hz refresh? It's killing my eyes!
