  • G400 & MSI TV problem

    Hi,

I just have instaled MSI TV@nywhere 8606 TV/Radio tuner, and have lost video settings on Matrox G-400 Dual Head, when trying to change resolutin I receive error.

If "MSI 8606 Video Capture" device is disabled in Device Manager G-400 working without any problem. Recently have updated both drivers, latest from MSI and latest from Matrox and problem persist.

    OS : W2K SP4
    MB : Chainthech 6BJM (BX 440 based)

Anyone know something is there compatibilty problem or how I can enable both devices ?

    Tnx in advance
    Dejan

Have you tried posting in Matrox Tech Support forum?

Which chipset does MSI card use?

Try Powerdesk forum when it opens up on Monday.

I have the TV @nywhere. It worked perfectly when I was using it with my G400 MAX. No problems whatsoever. I've upgraded my video card recently though...

tnx guys but I give up, after all combinations of drivers, PCI slots, bios settings ... finally have instaled GForce2 MX 400 instead of Matrox G-400 and all working ok.

This must be some weird combo on my comp (this is one very stable comp), G400 need to be VERY VERY close to G400 MAX (actually max is overclocked G400 ) ).

        The_King, u have SAMe version TV @nywhere ? Model 8606 ?
        Madeboard ? CPU ? OS ?

Did you try lattest drivers or reinstall?

Do a Windows update as well.

          Also did you try Dscaler?

I'm not into TV cards, but supposedly Dscaler is better than stuff that ships with cards.

This is what everyone in the know @ Arstechnica uses for his TV card instead of crappy manufacturer's software.

It's a free software for deinterlacing video from capture card and other sources.

Don't quote me on it, as I'm not into TV cards and guys from desktop video should know better.

I can't use dscaler because version 3.x don't have driver for TV@nywhere card. this is not btxxxx card.
Also, pay atention on my first post : DRIVER cause problem, if I disable tv tuner driver G400 can set resolution.
