    Good read.

Always nice to see that mjy choice of a P4 over an athlon for Max was worthwhile, ignoreing the cost issue obviously, doesn't worry me for my main machine.

Good read, but they use only the slowest opteron the 240, but the 246 is available.

        They forgot dual Athlons.

They should be in dual Xeon 2.66 to 3.06 range.

Price wasn't taken into consideration and it seems that the motherboards didn't do justice with the Opteron.

Time will tell but I believe the Opteron is the new performance king, especially once 64bit enabled code will be out.
I'm curious what will be Intels counter offering.

Anyway, all the best for us consumers.

For instance my dual Athlons scored 511 in Cinebench rendering and only dual Xeons with HT can own me.
