Ok, I actually got 1040...
Smallest ship, no loan, started from the middle point, landed at the furthest point (hidden from monastery and no rocks), brought a berserker and sailmaker.
Lucked out and got good winds on the way there...
Not sure how to get a higher score, or if it's just random at this point...
