    <A HREF="http://www.elitevideo.com/" TARGET="_top">EliteVideo</A> and <A HREF="http://www.markertek.com/" TARGET="_top">Markertek</A> sell the same 5.6" one for about $300(US).

You might want to <A HREF="http://www.2-pop.com/cgi/boards/cameras.cgi?read=6008" TARGET="_blank">check this thread</A> regarding the subject though.

Other places that come to mind are <A HREF="http://www.polarisusa.com/" TARGET="_top">Polaris</A> and <A HREF="http://www.partsexpress.com/" TARGET="_top">PartsExpress</A>. Last time I checked, they had a varied assortment of LCD screens, although a number of them are raw screens with no housing.

<A HREF="http://www.cameraworld.com/adtemplate.asp?invky=78334" TARGET="_top">This</A> might make for an interesting field monitor although judging from laptop TFT screens, I'm not jazzed with relying on any LCD screen for videomaking — they still refresh too slow compared to any CRT tube.

      Active Matrix Colour LCD Screen

      Hi,
Can anyone tell me where I can buy an active matrix colour(I'm from Canada, eh?) LCD screen? I want to connect it to a camcorder that only has a viewfinder. I'm thinking maybe a 6 or 7 inch screen would do nicely.
      Thanks,
      Riddek.

That SGI 1600x1000 display is sweet! We've got one in the lab connected to an SGI workstation, if your $1400 price is right it means they've dropped by more than half since we got ours over a year ago. If they can drop another 50% in a year, CRT makers will be in big trouble! But for the time being I'll stick with my 1600x1200 21" CRT.
