  • Forum problems???????????

Only two new postings in 24 hours?????

Guess everyone must be in Florida, counting votes. Without beating around the Bush, it looks as if the Gore will start to flow there

Only if the Democratic controlled canvassing boards start counting the cemetary vote like they do in Illinois and Arkansas. But then if they do a hand-recount that's another opportunity for their kind of mischief.

      Doc

I had a feeling you might have risen to that one! You swallowed it hook, line and sinker

        Hi Brian,

I'm not even going to think about treading on the cousins toes, I think they have enough problems to be thinking about already. Makes the British method of election seem almost simple, but I wouldn't even start to claim that THAT is anything other than "steeped in history" to say the least.

I'm not aware of any forum problems, although my ISP has been giving me all sorts of "challenges" over the last few days.

Nothin' new for da dems in Texas too!

LBJ was called "landslide Lyndon" because he won his first congressional election after a very close race. It was said that LBJ was so popular in Duval county that people came back from the dead to vote for him.

Yup Fred, still problems in Florida. Things are moving now though. At least one court has supported the Secretary of States effort to finalize the vote before the President is supposed to be sworn in.

AlGore did say once that he'd do anything to be President. Getting Richard Daly Jr. to massage the vote just follows in John Kennedy's footsteps. His campaign used Richard Daly Sr's similar "skills" to massage the Chicago vote for his win in 1960

                  Fred

The 1996 Republican presidential candidate has nothing wrong with his: he sponsors Viagra! His wife Doles it out to him, and up it Bobs.

Anyway, for us, outside the USA, we have learnt an excellent lesson in fair play (as shown by BOTH major parties) and democracy Roll on 2004, for the next episode in this soap, or is it a sitcom?
