EVERY TFT is good for CAD, because they ALL have perfect geometry. The Dell is a great bargain.

If you want to do stuff that is color sensitive also, one of the best screens you can buy is the NEC-Mitsubishi Multisync LCD 2080UX, and it costs just about one grand (which is a good price for a screen of that quality).

Oh, and virtually every 20" TFT has 1600x1200 res, too.

Just be sure to get one with DVI in - even if your current graphics card doesn't have DVI out, you'll keep the screen for longer than your current graphics card. but just about every 20" TFT today has DVI in, too.

Take a look at the Planar PL201M also. A couple of those around the office, and they're quite nice with good response time. Its listed cheaper on Dell's website than the Dell 20", at least in US $.
