  • Family Is Getting Larger

    Her name is Julie

The newest addition arrived very early this morning at 3:45AM, weighing 8lbs and measuring 19 inches.

The birth was done so rapidly, both sets of grandparents hadn't even arrived at the hospital til almost 2 hours later. Of course this suited Mom and Dad just fine as we were treated with 2 hours alone with baby that we hadn't got the first time around.

After a 12 hour labor 20 months ago, we were blessed with a 3 1/2 hour labor this time around. Much appreciated by her mother to say the least.

In the 2nd photo, it looks like Dad is more taumatised from the experience than Julie

I won't congratulate you, like the others, as your contribution was made 9 months ago with, presumably, a certain amount of pleasure. I congratulate Mom, though, for the work she did, nurturing her carefully for those 9 months and then working hard for 3.5 hours (it's not called labour for nothing!), just to give you that bundle. I wish Julie a long, happy, healthy life, even despite having you for a father !
