I am pleasantly Surprised I am able to play games with this Matrox Marvel G400 video card. Surprised is putting it mildly, i thought it would choke. Til I can buy a new video card, it looks good and have had no problems, at all. of course I have not yet tested al the functions in the computers, but have tried my Flight sims.... and no problems at all and the games recommend high performance new cards. I wil soon test the marvel features, and have the new files for the Hyperthreading features, for my marvel card to install iwth video tools. I just thought I would jump in because there are lots of threads with pople telling their experiences with new Asus Motherboards..

    Take care all..

Well, I have XP Professional running on a PII-450 with 384 MB RAM, and it works suprisingly well. That being said, for any new system I'd also advise to get 512 MB or more (I have 1 GB ).

My new system (see sig) worked perfectly. Morrowind was fluid, everything felt snappy and quick. Was waaay better than my old computer.
Well, at least until a power surge went through my network switch and fried the integrated networks on System 1 and System 2.
System 1 is totally dead, on RMA right now.
        System 2 is without network.
The switch has one dud port now.

First of all I was disappointed because you didn't say what you upgraded from???

Also the video card should perform good until you hit a game that requires direct x9 compatibility.

I was using the G400 off the RT2000 series and a direct x9 game "medal of honor" brought it to it's knees.

However I could still play the game but in certain scenes the whites of the backgrounds would flicker. Kind of annoying if you ask me!

I broke down and got a GF4 TI4200 on sale after rebate for $80.

And really I wouldn't spend any more than that on a vid card because AGP will not be here for much longer... at least on the intel side of the war. [PCI Express will be taking over]

Let me tell ya the G-force Rocks! and for $80 it was very worth it. DVI and analog + TV out!!!

With that rig, grab a cheap Sapphire R9600, and you will be very happy (they run around for 170 CDN these days)
