  • Matrox P-650 and X5DAE

    Video Card: Matrox P650
    Motherboard: Supermicro X5DAE

When I power down, the motherboard speaker emits a constant "beeeeeeeeeeep" with a second DVI LCD connected to the "B" DVI connector. If I disconnec t the second DVI monitor, the beep stops, but once I re-connect, it comes right back.

Has anyone else experienced this and can anyone else explain why it happens?

The systems functions perfectly. Both primary and secondary monitors work and function as advertised.

    TIA

    koby,

First thing I would check is to make sure
the P650 is seated right in the AGP slot. Boards do funny things when they are not in right. Then check to see what size your AGP appature is in the motherboard BIOS. Mine is set at 64 meg for P750. Next check BIOS levels for the motherboard and P650 and bring them up to current levels.

    I hope this helps.
