  • Hottest day of the year and football starts

Just below 90F. Luckily I was out of sun bar the last twenty minutes of the match. If they're going to play games earlier I.E August, they should think about the fans and start the match around 7.30 rather than 3.00 in the afternoon.

32°C is nowt for the spectators sitting down in the shade. What about those 25 poor bastards running around in full sunlight? Anyway, if the spectators don't wish to swelter, no one obliges them to go. If the gates go down, management may start asking questions and then correcting the situation. The best action would therefore be to call a boycott of matches played at temperatures > 30°C,

I've played US football in weather ranging from a -35F wind chill to over 100F straight, which is considered just part of the game over here....but it does get kinda hot inside all the body armor.

I must admit my favorite games were the mud & snow bowls

It was also the day that Britain broke it's highest ever temp.

Cooler today but still humid. I wonder how long it is before it starts hotting up again.
