  • No audio with dualhead (clone)?

    Hi,
I have a strange dualhead setup with a MarvelG400. I have composite cables running from the BOB out to a television downstairs. Why? So I can play casino games online and have it displayed on the TV downstairs. (I have a wirless mouse/keyboard so I can control the action from the TV area)

The problem is I can get great video but no audio. I have a Soundblaster AWE 64 ISA sound card. Nothing is muted in the sound mixer and the line out levels are fine. The BOB cables are all connected correctly.

When I watch TV on my monitor with PC Remote, A/V works fine. Does anybody have any suggestions? It's really inportant to me to get this working ASAP. It's for my aunt who loves casino games. She is very ill and bedridden. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Riddek.

I'm assuming the mixer you checked for muting on was the Windows one? IF so then also check the AWE-64's mixer, which is a separate program installed with the drivers. It can be muted (or reverbed or, or..) without it necessarily showing on the Windows mixer.

      Wonderful feature, 'eh?

        Hi Doc.
Thanks for responding. I finally got it working this afternoon. I had to blow away all the Matrox software and reinstall the latest versions. When I reconfigured the display settings to adjust the resolution and enable dualhead, everything went crazy! (I was getting a vertically "squashed" screen and a 60Mhz refresh rate that was not adjustable) I managed to get it all working by doing one monitor adjustment at a time and restarting after each change. It all works fine now.
        Cheers,
        Riddek.
