  • 110 film negative scanning

I am in the process or getting a replacement for my old flatbed scanner. I want to replace it with a scanner with built in film/slide capability( Canon CS5000F or simular). Generally these are for 35mm film/slides.

I have many photos taken in the '80s that the color in the prints is fading to red and would like to scan the negatives for reprint/slideshows/etc. The negatives are 110 format. (Taken with a Minolta 110 SLR, a GREAT little camera for the time).

Has anyone had any experience scanning 110 negatives? Any advice/tips to offer?

    Thanks!

I would suggest looking at the Canon Canoscan 9900F. I have it and am just blown away by what it and the bundled software have done with old negatives and diapositives, some over 30-40 years old revived like new.

It is also affordable. It is an A4 flatbed with different sized film holders, so you can use it for 'bout everything.
How can you possibly take anything seriously?
    Who cares?
