  • MatroxPowerDesk for Old MGA Millennium

    Hi there!

I got an old millennium (2064w/4mb) pci card for use with my second monitor (agp is g400 singlehead . . .).
now I want to add a fixed frequency monitor to it which needs negative sync rates. I found a tutorial how to do it with MatroxPowerDesk which I have installed but which seems not to work with my pci card. any suggestions?

    regards
    /christian

I had the problem once when I tried to use a G450 + PCI Millenium II. Somehow windows didn't' recognize the 3rd screen but found another screen adapter. I just installed Matrox's drivers for the Millenium and all worked fine afterwards.
Let those who want to be simple, be simple.

yep, I did that too. now it seems to work fine except that I needed to downgrade MatroxPowerDesk to work with both cards...

I was using Powerdesk 2.82 with great success with G400 and Millennium PCI untill about 15 mins ago (see sig, switched).

It supports both cards and uses unified drivers.

Make sure you remove Windows drivers for Millennium and install Matrox drivers.

Both cards together was just smooow.
